DD RIS II is a licensed copy with all authentic markings except this one:

But it's hidden on the inner side so nobody will know about its existence.

The quality of manufacturing and machining is on a very high level. RIS is without any visible defects or flaws, everything is done with extreme precise. And the other good thing is the absence of sharp edges/parts that present in RIS handguards of some other manufacturers. Markings are accurate and clear.

Oxide finish is in exact matte black (no tint to other color just neutral black).

The coating, by the way, deserves special compliments because no matter how hard I've tried to scratch it with screwdriver, it withstood those tortures and stayed black on the marks. Only when I applied maximum pressure I could get to the metal (from right to left as pressure increased).

In fact, you need to hit it hard to scratch the coating significantly, I think it bounds with body breakage of your M4. Other hits to the ground, concrete, metal or tearing it by your gear which often take place on airsoft games will only lead to barely noticeable marks without affecting the coating much.

Material: aluminium T6 6061. Despite the quite long length of the RIS II it's very light. After take-down of the front sight, gas block, delta-ring and installing of the RIS II with its mounting parts rifle will weigh the same.

First you need to take-down the gas block/front sight, for doing that take out 2 side pins and sling swivel pin, after that unscrew the bottom hex screw. Take off the delta-ring and that's it - your rifle is ready for RIS installation.

Primarily you need to put Bolt Up System Plate (the special form ring) on to the barrel and tighten it up with steel Bolt Up System Nut. But be careful to not tighten it too much because you can wrench off the thread on certain AEG's, besides even completely tighten, this ring still would have a bit of free movement, but that's OK.

Now assemble upper part of the handguard, for doing this we must screw in 6 hex screws: 4 top ones with heads facing the stock and 2 below facing the RIS inner side. After that the RIS II is fully secured and has no movement.

Next assemble bottom part, for this we must fasten 3 screws with transparent shims on each side.

In conclusion I must admit that I'm impressed with overall quality of this RIS handguard pretty much. If you look closer you'll notice how accurately every detail, every part were worked out during the manufacture process. After the installation it seems that this RIS II could outlast 2 or more of your airsoft M4s.
