Можно, конечно, сказать, что у снайперов больше бабла и свободы чем у ОDA, но к сожалению, или счастью, это говорит лишь о том, что все зависит от многих факторов: бойца/командования/фин.возможностей/занятий на гражданке (у бойцов занимающихся ПС на континенте гораздо больше неуставных вещей) и т.п..
По поводу Мэйфлауэр АРС, несколько цитат от нескольких других бойцов:
I started this deployment with the Eagle Industries Plate Carrier with cumberbun. I ended up purchasing the Mayflower APC, this carrier is the best carrier I have ever used. It is low profile and allows me to carry exactly what I need without a lot of extra space to get in the way. I like that I can wear this vest high and keep my ballistic plates where they need to be to offer the protection to my chest cavity. It also rides hight enough to be able to wear my first line belt and have no interfearance in drawing my secondary weapon. The APC also affords me the ability to run three magazines, and add three aditional magazines in the kangaroo pouch on the cumberbun flap. The APC also fit my issued Armor and plate backers very well, the only problem was with the side plates. To remedy this, I got some multicam nylon and had the FOB stitch bitch make some panels that had hook and loop on each side to match the inner cumberbun panels to hold the side plated in place where needed.

Если скаут-снайперы морпехи покупают за свои деньги и носят LBT 6094 - почему остальные рода войск не могут носить то, что удобно, особенно если это позволяется?
